A lovely lady JulieB, over on Ravelry, has been rocking her Accordion! I asked for permission to bring a couple photos to share! She has special 18 inch rods for her loom as well as the others. Just a few neat things… I love how she is using a little tension rod to act as a warping trapeze… and the little white baskets on her stand leg supports! (adorable!)
And then look at the lovely long scarf that she wove… and the most amazing of all, is the lovely piece of card weaving, with a zillion cards and she is just laying the unwoven warp over ONE rod and has daisy chained the leftovers in bunches with a few little weights… and she is using the front take up rod for the woven band! She said in hindsight, she thought to wrap it over the far back rod and remove the front top rod so she would have EVEN a longer throat in which to weave! I find it amazing that she gets enough tension that was to make a beautiful band.
I am SO tickled to see the ways that people are loving and adapting these two looms! It is more than I ever imagined. We are SO pleased to be able to offer this multi-function, adaptable, many style weaving loom for such a reasonable price. It just tickles me to no end at the amazing creativity of our Windhaven Weavers!!!!!!!!!!
I love how she is using an inexpensive tension rod to be a warp trapeze… how clever!!! This allows her to thread on her warp to the back take up rod of her loom with nice tension!
And look! She has added a baby sister loom to her herd… a cute little Concertina!!! Can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will add to her creative stash! You rock JulieB!!! Thank you so much for allowing us to share some of these awesome shots!
I think we are going to try and spot light some of our amazing Windhaven Weavers in future posts! If you would like to have your work spotlighted on our blog, just drop me a note at:
